I hope everyone got a glimpse of the Buck Moon on July 21. Acknowledging this time during Summer when Bucks grow their antlers. It was a stellar show on the mountain and in the desert.

Seeing the Northern Lights sky show during the solar flares on May 10, 2024 was like science fiction fantasy.

In my experience with eclipses and solar flares, it seems light transforms every aspect of a living environment so when these major sky events have occurred, the wildlife is silent. And the air is still. On this night there wasn’t a nightlife sound or even a tickle of breeze.

This month has already been dynamic beyond expectation. The tour south with lingering vertigo inspired and reinvigorated all of my senses. At every stop these relationships become more meaningful over time as we all learn with each other; as we navigate and create access to sungrown. This is a slow path…yet I’m seeing the formula which is people who get sungrown REALLY get sungrown. We’re making progress, good people, the key is access so we can let the plant do her work.

Spring equinox marks the beginning of spring, when we find ourselves knee-deep in cover crop emerging from defrosting land coming to life after a long, cold winter. It is incredible to watch the new growth come up from the ground after the winter has been deeply hydrated by epic downpours. The sounds, scents, colors, and sunshine all scream SPRING!! We’re having a wet rain season with over 46” so far. The forests and the land are rapidly recharging are we’re looking at an abundant spring. Feeling grateful and rested to bring in the Lunar New Year!! As the land grows green, our cover crops are bursting across the farm and we’re visioning and forecasting out the Year of the Wood Dragon. Are you ready?

We made it to December, in the time of Sagittarius, this fierce fire sign brings drama, passion, and insight. C’mon! At Moon Made Farms we’ve got a new expression for “Fire”...When you hear “¡A huevo!” you know someone’s smoking something special. This month we’re bringing something to warm your soul and connect you to spirit.

Our cannabis farm has been in an ecstatic harvest state after an intense, short summer. This flower is bright and early in spirit…fortifying, activating, and contemplative. As the landscape shifts from green to golden, peak inflorescence reflects nature’s ultimate complexity and the flowers signal the harvest. My heart is full with gratitude for our farm team!! Bringing these flowers into full expression is accomplished by an incredible team of people. We collectively devote our life energy to cultivating flower that will serve people, toward fully embracing the living experience.

Happy New Moon Good People! We’re releasing summer deps to launch you into the home stretch of the season with Moon Boots, Sherbert Haze, and OG4. As the sun dips in the horizon and we approach the autumnal equinox, we’re seeing karmic consequences in real time. Every subtle shift and every decision we’ve made this season is reflected in the full season floral expressions. Peak inflorescence is upon us as we count down the days to harvest. 

This week features the second full moon of August, the Super Blue Moon…bring your POWER! The farm is bursting with Cannabis entering into their final flower phase, peak inflorescence is not far off. With all of the summer pollinator flowers in bloom and bees buzzing, the garden of Eden is in full effect. Each cultivar has a unique and singular personality and this is the time of the season when they’re capturing the attention of all of our senses. Every day is an adventure into rapid growth and evolution.

The summer heat is reminding everyone that temperatures are rising across the globe. We’re a regenerative Sungrown farm and doing our part by contributing to land, sequestering carbon, utilizing hands and shovels over heavy equipment and automation, paying living wages, and setting intentions with every flower to shift consciousness toward creating solutions.
